URANIA is a not-for-profit organization for Italians studying or working in the United States and Italy in the Life Science sector. Created in 2005 by a group of Italians in the United States, Urania counts already over 200 members among the top US educational institutions, as well as pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. URANIA has the goal of promoting the bidirectional transfer of know-how between Italy and the United States, supporting a scientific collaboration between the two countries.
URANIA will pursue its goal by creating a network between the Italian community that contributes to research and development activities in the Life Science, by supporting those interested in work experiences in the United States, by encouraging Italians in participating in leading US study programs and supporting their professional development, by supporting those interested in returning to Italy, by promoting partnerships between biotech firms, universities, research centers, investment funds, companies, institutional corporations, and other related entities. |
